Very pleased with this 5 page feature in the June issue of Cumbria magazine written by Andrew Gallon who drove over from York to interview me ..and arrived at 9 am! Lovely photos too.
I have just had an amazing 2 weeks painting on Ardnamurchan and Iona. Unbelievable weather too. It was stunning, peaceful and so quiet and incredibly inspiring of course. I have been several times to Iona to paint on the same beach and never tire of it.
A couple of the new works will be in this summers Lake Artists Society summer exhibition at Grasmere along with 4 Cumbrian landscape paintings, but the rest I’m afraid will probably not be released until next year.
So very pleased to have my painting featured on the front cover of this fabulous magazine. This painting titled Daisy, Daisy will be in my forthcoming exhibition
Bright and Beautiful at Brantwood on Coniston from 17th June – 3rd Sept.
I just love this title REAL WEALTH it seems so apt with my painting. On the inside cover another of my paintings Fields of Gold ( also for Brantwood exhibition ) is also published. It is wonderful to be associated with this magazine.

I’m looking forward to a very busy 2017.
Brantwood JUNE 17th – SEPTEMBER 4th
Firstly, I have a major solo exhibition at the prestigious Brantwood, Coniston, the former home and studio of John Ruskin from. I have been working on this body of work over the past 3 years and have just stated putting together the 32 page exhibition brochure. It is all ‘floral’ themed : weeds, meadows, hedgerows as well as garden flowers and a series of large hydrangeas paintings.
I am currently working on a series of water lily based mono prints which are going very well and have been very engaging.
I am really looking forward to seeing it all come together as it has been a really exciting and enjoyable body of work to produce. You will be able to order a full colour exhibition brochure from the online shop on this website prior to the exhibition. This will be released in May. As soon as brochures are released work can be purchased. However, the work will be hung in the exhibition until September.
An online brochure will also be available to view on this site.
There will also be many new cards and reproduction prints released to coincide with the exhibition.

From April 15th – June 10th I am delighted to back at the wonderful McGill Duncan Gallery in Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway. This will coincide with the Spring Fling. Several new Scottish works based around Arisaig as well as some new mono prints will be on show.

The Lake Artists Society
In July – Sept I will be exhibiting with The Lake Artists Society in Grasmere with about 6 new works. I was formally elected a member in 2016!
I was on BBC1 – briefly! The program Inside Out North West filmed the Create Longridge competition that I won first prize in. The Create Longridge competition starts about 19 mins through the program and I am on near the end!
