1988-1989: PGCE- Postgraduate Certificate in Further and Higher Education; Art and Design at Bolton University.
1984-1987: BA (Hons) 2(1) Fine Art, Painting at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Awarded the John Crisp Memorial prize.
1983-1984: Foundation course; Art and Design at Blackpool College.
1981-1982: A Level; Mathematics, Economics, Art at Arnold School.
