A Day in the Lakes – Landscape Painting

Enjoy a day out drawing and painting on the south Cumbria coast in the area of outstanding natural beauty of Arnside and Silverdale.
The tutor will be on hand all day for guidance and advice to help you with the major elements involved in drawing and painting the landscape.
Specific locations will be chosen so that the various aspects of the landscape can be observed and interpreted using either watercolour, pastel or your own choice of medium.
The atmosphere is informal, relaxed and enjoyable with the intention to teach the artist to develop his or her own individual approach. Beginners welcome.
There is walking involved, though nothing too strenuous! Non-painting partners welcome; there are splendid walking opportunities. If the event has to be cancelled due to bad weather, then alternative dates will be available.
Lunch: Bring packed lunch or pub/cafe facilities are available nearby.
Cost for the day is £30 (£10 deposit non-returnable). Places will be limited to a maximum of 12 persons per trip to assure individual attention, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Own transport necessary; however lifts can be arranged or shared. Please specify on the booking form if you require transport.
One Day Printmaking Workshop

The workshop will involve demonstrations, discussions and experimental printmaking using stencils and monoprinting techniques. An intense workshop suitable for beginners and more experienced printmakers alike, the course covers a wide range of methods and processes in an expert and informal manner.
The tutor will be on hand all day for guidance and advice to help you develop your ideas and techniques. All printing will be done by hand and can therefore be continued at home.
The atmosphere is informal, relaxed and enjoyable with the intention to teach the artist to develop his or her own individual approach.
Cost for the day is £60 including water-based inks. Complimentary refreshments available.
Lunch: Bring packed lunch or pub/cafe facilities are available nearby.
The studio is well equipped and has wonderful views across the Estuary.
Places will be limited to a maximum of 4 persons per day to assure individual attention and adequate space, so book early to avoid disappointment.
